The changing seasons are always a magical time at Treseren, and as the nights draw in and weddings become less about garden games and more about cosy fires and romantic candlelight, our Welcome Feast transitions to the seasonal autumn- winter menu.
We pride ourselves on creating a home from home atmosphere with a five-star service for the duration of a Treseren wedding, and our welcome is where it all begins.
Jeni and Andy arrived for their three day long Intimate Wedding celebration on a crisp October afternoon to a roaring log fire and freshly baked chocolate brownies. After settling in to their rooms, the couple and their 10 guests enjoyed roasted mixed nuts with rosemary, paprika and sea salt and Halkidiki and Kalamata olives from the Cornish Olive Stall, before being seated for convivial dining around our handmade wooden banqueting table. Jeni and Andy chose the evenings dishes from our carefully curated menu of sharing platters, centered around seasonality and the best Cornish produce – expertly cooked by chef Sarah.
On the Menu
Roasted chicken with lemon and basil
Rosemary roasted hasselback baby potatoes
Steamed green beans with caramelised red onion
Roasted butternut squash with chickpeas and harissa
Caponata Stuffed Red Peppers
Apple crumble and custard (made with apples from the Treseren Orchard)
The evening before a wedding day is often the first time in a long time (if ever) that a couple’s very favourite people have all been together and there is always an unrivalled mix of excitement and anticipation in the air. Being able to enjoy a special meal together is the perfect way to settle into the celebrations and sets the scene perfectly for all there is to come.
