Whilst 2021 hasn’t quite been the ‘back to normal’ year we had all hoped for, at Treseren we feel incredibly lucky to have celebrated so many magical small weddings with our couples and their guests. Before we jump excitedly into another year of new beginnings, we wanted to take a step back and remember just some of the highlights that this year has brought us.
Loveday’s Cocktail Bar
We know we have talked a lot about Loveday’s Cocktail Bar this year – but it is so very deserving of all the attention! The glamourous interior (did we mention it has a gold leaf ceiling), and decadent signature cocktails have made it the perfect destination on a wedding evening. We have loved sharing the history of the house with guests prompted by our gallery wall and adding our own layer of memories to the spirit of this special place.
The Treseren Team
Treseren is a small family business, and when we first launched back in 2019 it was all hands on deck to bring our vision of magical small weddings in our Georgian country house to fruition. Since then, we are thrilled to say we have gone from strength to strength, and the Treseren team has grown substantially!
Each Treseren team member has really taken on board our six core values of Happiness, Communication, Love, Empathy, Excellence and Authenticity. Treseren weddings are all about being treated to 5-star hospitality in a home from home atmosphere and it is the wonderful team that ensure every single person that steps through our doors experiences this level of care and attention.

Of course, as well as the core Treseren team we have to say a big thank you to the extended Treseren family, from the amazing chefs that deliver fine dining feasts to talented hair stylists, bakers and florists. We could not create beautiful small weddings without you – and we know just how hard you have worked this year to deliver amazing services to our lucky wedding couples.
The Stretch Tent Covered Terrace
Another of our lockdown projects, the stretch tent covered terrace has been a huge success and played such a big role in so many weddings this year. From providing cover when the Cornish skies opened on us, to much needed sun shade during one of the hottest Augusts on record. The majestic purple verbena walkway has been the perfect aisle for many grand entrances and countless corks have been popped under the shade sail as al fresco dining was enjoyed under twinkling fairy lights.
Wedding Venue of the Year
We were so proud to be awarded Wedding Venue of the Year in the South West Tourism Awards. We have felt incredibly lucky to be able to create moments of sparkle for couples and their closest loved ones during such a strange time and cannot put into words how much we love hosting magical small weddings at Treseren, so to be awarded this accolade was such an honour. We celebrated at the virtual awards ceremony with a bottle of champagne, and later in the year Emma and Izzy finally got to meet lots of the other finalists and enjoy a celebratory drink together.
Treseren Events Club
December saw the launch of the Treseren Events Club, as we invited a small group to enjoy wreath making with Emily from Three Acre Blooms. It was great to see the house full of such creativity and we all indulged in festive treats and cocktails around the fire. We so enjoyed opening the doors of Treseren to a wider audience that we have decided to plan even more events next year. We feel so terribly honoured to be involved in the most special day of people’s lives, creating beautiful small weddings is an absolute joy. There is an unmatchable atmosphere in the air on a wedding day and sharing in that happiness is something that we will never tire of.
We cannot wait to host many more weddings and special events in 2022!
