Last weekend we opened our doors for a special day of Christmas wreath making, followed by nibbles by the fire and a very festive cocktail.
Led by the very talented Emily from Three Acre Blooms, we were joined by twenty guests who learnt the craft of wreath making, creating something special for their doors at home over the Christmas period.
Emily set up all the lovely foliage and special dried and fresh stems for the wreaths in the Drawing Room and it was a lovely atmosphere as the group flowed from our long table to gather their chosen elements to create the wreath, accompanied by Christmas carols.
Emily’s expert guidance, coupled with some very creative ideas, inspired some beautiful Christmas wreaths.
We loved how unique each wreath was!
Following a busy session making, we lit the fire and invited our guests to retreat to the sitting room for festive drinks and nibbles.
Long-time friend of Treseren and talented cook, Angie Greenham created a range of delicious canapes from seared beef with truffled mascarpone on homemade blinis, to whipped goats cheese with Angie’s carrot chutney and a fennel crisp.
The mince pies, which Angie made to a 1910 recipe from one of her vintage cookbooks were absolutely incredible. Everybody loved them!
We invited everyone to visit our cocktail bar, Loveday’s to sample our festive cocktails. Our guests chose from a mocktail infused with flavours of ginger and fresh raspberries, or a cocktail of spiced rum shaken over ice, with apple and cinnamon notes and served in our gorgeous gold rimmed martini glasses.
Treseren Events Club
Thank you to everyone who attended. It was wonderful to open the doors for our first ever workshop and following all the positive feedback, we are really excited to announce we will be creating a Treseren Events Club. We are planning to weave a number of lovely events into our annual calendar, from a range of workshops to supper clubs and maybe even an outdoor movie and pizza evening in summer.
We are a small and intimate venue, so tickets will always be limited, but our club members will be the first to hear about up and coming events before they are released more widely. Thanks to those who attended the wreath workshop for signing up to our mailing list and becoming our first twenty members!
We’d love to hear from you about what events you would enjoy attending and if you would like to join the club, simply click here and be sure to tick the box ‘I want to join Treseren Events Club and be the first to hear about new events’.
