Real Weddings | Charlotte and Huw’s Stylish Micro Wedding

By 1 November 2020 No Comments

Charlotte and Huw had originally planned a wedding for over 100 guests, but when social distancing restrictions came into place, postponement wasn’t an option as the marriage needed to take place before Charlotte and Huw emigrated to New Zealand. They chose Treseren because they wanted the feel of a country house, surrounded by beautiful gardens with lots of privacy to mirror their original choice of venue, but on a micro scale.

Truly a wedding to remember, the day was full of style and sophistication, with an al fresco ceremony on the sprawling front lawn, framed by a stunning floral arch created by Cat at Tide Flowers and accompanied by the beautiful sounds of The Cornwall Quartet. After stepping inside to sign the register, the couple were welcomed back outside through a cascade of rose and peony petal confetti.

Salt and Sea Photography captured so many beautiful images of the day, we particularly loved the shots taken in the Orchard, alongside our majestic 200 year-old walnut tree. After celebratory champagne and canapes, the happy couple were whisked away to Holywell Bay to create the most romantic imagery among the dunes.

As well as the declaration of their love for each other, the day was particularly special as it was Charlotte and Huw’s first opportunity to introduce their eleven week-old baby girl to the family who had not yet had a chance to meet her because of lockdown. It was so wonderful to help make this happen and to create a truly love-filled atmosphere.

Food was a real focal point of the day, and Charlotte and Huw’s guests were treated to a stunning eight course tasting menu created especially for them by the very talented Chef Fiona NZ. Everybody agreed that the meal got better with each plate! Our handmade wooden table was set with salt glaze crockery, gold cutlery, vintage candlesticks and natural linen napkins. Cat created beautiful florals in soft whites for the table and the windowsill and the blue skies and green gardens beyond the open French doors set the most romantic summer evening scene.

‘Our wedding was a magical stress-free day made possible by the wonderful team. If we had our choice again this would have been our first choice. A wonderful wedding at a wonderful venue hosted by the most wonderful people. The experience of meeting Paul, Emma, Max and Georgia and the memories from our time there will never be forgotten! Thank you for all your hard work you put in over the duration of our stay, without you our dream would never have happened!’ – Charlotte and Huw

We so enjoyed created this perfect day for such a lovely couple, and it means so much to us that although Treseren was not their original plan, Charlotte and Huw now they feel that this would have been their first choice if they had to choose again!
