In an evening celebrating the best of the best businesses in Cornwall at the Cornwall Tourism Awards, Treseren was a finalist in two categories and came away with a bronze award for Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism and a gold for Wedding Venue of the Year. Having previously entered the awards in 2020 and 2021 and being crowned Wedding Venue of the Year on each occasion in Cornwall and the whole Southwest region, it is with huge pride that we have once again been awarded gold.
Attending the event with Emma were three of our incredible team; Front of house host Natasha, Sarah our in-house chef and Charlie our Sustainability Coordinator alongside her role as one of our Wedding Coordinators.
It was a fabulous night held within the arches of Truro Cathedral with key sponsors providing drinks and hospitality. Treseren favourite, Loveday gin served their delicious Golden Hour with premium Cornish tonic and it was great to see Daisy from Loveday welcoming all the guests. We have always loved that our cocktail bar, Loveday’s shares a name with this delicious gin and we are proud to stock them along with other brilliant Cornish artisan spirits including Colwith Farm vodka and Rosemullion Rum. This reflects our commitment to sourcing our food and drink as locally as possible and ensuring a local supply chain. From the outset, we set up Treseren to be a business with purpose and we are incredibly proud of our sustainability journey, so to be recognised in the category of sustainable and ethical tourism is hugely important to us.
We want to thank the team at Cornwall Tourism Awards for all their hard work and dedication in the co-ordination and hosting of these brilliant annual awards and offer a big congratulations to all the amazing Cornish finalists.
Michael Steel, Managing Director of Visit Cornwall, said: “It’s inspiring to see so many businesses dedicated to excellence in Cornish tourism. Special congratulations go out to the business owners, managers, and every single team member whose hard work and passion make these achievements possible.”
Awards organiser Robin Barker added: “It’s always fabulous to celebrate the very best in Cornish tourism. Businesses that whatever the challenge continue to keep Cornwall at the fore in terms of service, innovation, accessibility and sustainability. Congratulations to each and every winner.”
