Glorious sunshine and good company were just what we ordered for the sold out Treseren X Adam Banks supper club on the May bank holiday weekend, and we were most definitely not disappointed.

Since honing his skills as Head Chef at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, Adam Banks has become renowned for his creative cooking style, inspired by the joy of Italian food. As regular visitors to Adam’s pop-up restaurant Verbena, we were very excited to join forces for a one night only supper club, combining Adam’s delicious food with Treseren’s unique brand of five-star service in a home from home atmosphere.

Talented singer songwriter Sophie Sutton set the scene for a relaxed evening as guests were greeted with refreshing Mojitos to enjoy in the Treseren gardens. May is always a beautiful time here at Treseren, as the gardens are bursting into life with the promise of warmer days ahead – and it’s always hard to resist a game of croquet and table tennis!

The welcome sunshine meant that dining took place on our terrace, creating a wonderfully vibrant convivial dining experience, with tables adorned with beautiful flowers from Emily at Three Acre Blooms, grown just fields away from Treseren. Chef Adam Banks began the feast by introducing us all to his creative menu, with four delicious courses celebrating the season and the best locally sourced ingredients to enjoy.

To get things started, diners were treated to three different canapes served on our vintage plates featuring Rye with fresh cheese and marjoram, Nasturtium, beef crudo, buckwheat and cucumber and St Enodoc asparagus, which Adam grilled al fresco on the barbecue and served with black pepper zabione

The next course was a delicious home-made Cappeletti pasta with Newquay crab, chilli and bottarga served with Scarpetta, Gorse bakery sourdough and salted cream followed by Dry aged striploin of beef and vignarola

To finish, local Mitchell farm strawberries, almond and fig leaf created a delicious dessert.

A big thank you to Sofie Michelle for capturing these wonderful photos of the evening.

Whilst we spend most of our time planning and hosting magical small weddings at Treseren, it is always lovely to invite new people to enjoy our beautiful space for different events. To be the first to hear about future pop up events, please do join the Treseren Events Club.
