From cooking amazing breakfasts, to expert cocktail making and marketing ideas, Zoe is a much loved member of the Treseren team, so it was about time that we caught up with her for our ‘Meet the Team’ series.
Tell us a little about what you did before you joined Treseren?
Before I started at Treseren I was a student at Truro School studying my A Levels in Art, English Literature and Geography. Whilst doing my A Levels I also completed the Leiths certificate of Food and Wine, which is also accredited as a Level 3 certificate in professional cookery. This set me up perfectly for my role at Treseren.
When did you join Treseren and what does your day-to-day role entail?
I first joined the Treseren team in 2019 when Emma first started doing weddings. I then took a break to focus on my A-levels and was extremely happy to be welcomed back in April of 2021. I have been involved with a whole variety of different roles whilst at Treseren. My main role is providing breakfast for the guests, cooking the welcome meals and helping Izzy and Emma on the wedding days. I have also been lucky enough to be involved in some of the marketing at Treseren, creating Instagram reels and blog posts, even sometimes assisting Paul with the filming on some of the wedding days.
What are the things you most enjoy about your job?
What truly makes me love this job is the cohesive and friendly team we have at Treseren. Being a part of the team and helping to create such a special day for the couples is truly such an honour. All the hard work is worth it when you see the joy on the couples faces on their wedding day.
What is your favourite part of a wedding day?
Wedding days have so many special moments and it’s hard to chose a specific one. However, the one moment that never fails to be truly magical is the moment the wedding couple first see each other at the ceremony.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Surprisingly I haven’t gotten sick of cooking all the time and still love to do it outside of work as well. I’m constantly whipping up new baked goods and food for my family. This hobby goes well with my other passion for the gym!
What do you think are the key ingredients to a perfect small wedding?
Truly it’s having the ones you love most around you. Oh, and of course some swanky cocktails from Loveday’s bar!
What’s your favourite room, or spot in the grounds at Treseren?
I absolutely love all of the rooms and grounds at Treseren but the walnut tree has my heart. It creates the most perfect backdrop to any wedding ceremony.
