Following the recent Government announcement, and the positive news that small weddings may be allowed to go ahead from 1st June and some hospitality businesses could be able to be opened from 4th July 2020, we have been working on plans here at Treseren. We have been researching and reading up on what this will mean and waiting for more details to emerge so we can begin to plan and have some idea of when and in what capacity, we will be able to re-open.

The detail is still thin on the ground. We know that the re-emergence of small weddings is in ’step 2’ of the lockdown lift, which will be made no earlier than 1st June and it’s not clear yet how many people could be able to attend, and what social distancing measures would need to be in place for an event to go ahead.

Although we cannot offer guarantees, we can certainly offer support and re-assurance. We have been working with all our couples that were due to get married in April / May / June and have found new dates for all of them for a postponement. We are now talking to all of our couples who have dates booked in July and August 2020.

We hope that as many of our weddings are small and intimate family weddings / some even smaller elopements, that it will be easier for everything to go ahead as planned.

There certainly is a little more time on our side to analyse what the Government will announce next in relation to small weddings and watch how this pans out at the beginning of June / how the easing of the lock down will go. We are not asking any of our couples to make any quick decisions, but we would like to get a sense of how you are feeling about your wedding, and any concerns you may have at this stage. We are here to help.

We wanted to let you what we are doing as a venue to prepare for the eventualities and protect our couples as far as possible based on current information available.

HYGIENE AND NEW CLEANING MEASURES

We are monitoring the situation and we will be complying with all Government advice Before we re-open in we will schedule a deep clean of the house. Our cleaning team keep the house to a very high standard and we will be checking everything thoroughly at each change over. Whilst the threat of the coronavirus is still present, extra attention will be paid to cleaning commonly touched surfaces such as light switches / door handles / taps etc. We will be extra vigilant about hygiene for our staff and guests with soap available for hand washing and disposable paper towels for hand drying as opposed to hand towels

STAFFING YOUR WEDDING

We have a pool of staff and we will ensure everybody on the team is healthy who is scheduled to work with none of the symptoms that the NHS are asking people to look out for such as a new continuous cough or a fever. In this case we will be asking them to self-isolate and not come to work for the Government recommended period. Equally we would ask all our couples to check that they and their guests are healthy before travelling to their wedding. Emma is in touch with other brilliant wedding planners/ co-ordinators who we work with in the event of her personally not being able to be here to co-ordinate your day due to any infection / need to self-isolate so that your wedding will run smoothly even if I am not able to be here (which would be a very last resort for me, I absolutely will be hoping to be healthy and here for you).

LIVE STREAMING

In the event some of your guests cannot travel to attend, we would be happy to look in to the possibility of live streaming your wedding for you so that if you have important people that cannot be there physically, then they will still be able to witness your ceremony as it is
happening. We realise that is not the same as being there, but something to ensure they don’t miss out entirely. Paul will be working on the technical side of this.

MAKING A PLAN B

Of course, like you we hope that your day can go ahead as planned with all your guests present and we know how much energy and excitement in planning that you have put in to making it all happen. If this is not the case and events outside of everyone’s control mean
that the wedding cannot go ahead on the date as planned, we are working with all our couples to come up with a plan to re-arrange your wedding.

We are always here for you and will be happy to chat through concerns / work out the best way forward if there are any difficulties you are experiencing your end so we can make joint decisions and work through the issues thrown up by the coronavirus and the ever
changing situation that we all face. This is new territory and we want to stand together with you to find solutions.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch whether via email, text, or picking up the phone for a chat.
